🎃 Spooky-Sweet Goat Milk Fudge Ideas Chief Goat Gets a Little Help from the Snack Bandit

Welcome back to the MLB Farm kitchen!

Normally, Chief Goat runs a pretty tight kitchen around here.

Ingredients measured.
Bowls ready.
Recipes followed.

Well... mostly followed. 😂

But this week, Chief Goat has an assistant.

And unfortunately for Chief Goat, that assistant is none other than Shez Yo Mama Jama—The Snack Bandit. 🐐🍫

If you read Friday's You've Goat to Know! blog, then you've already met Mama. If there's food anywhere within approximately a five-mile radius, she considers herself personally responsible for investigating it.

So naturally, when she heard the words GOAT MILK FUDGE, she reported for duty.

Nobody actually hired her.

She just... showed up.

🐐 Mama:

“I heard there were snacks.”

👨🍳 Chief Goat:

“We're MAKING the snacks.”

🐐 Mama:

“Even better.”

This should go well. 😂

🍫 One Fudge Recipe—Lots of Possibilities!

One of the things we love about our goat milk fudge recipe is how easy it is to change things up.

We use the same basic recipe for several of the fudge flavors we make at MLB Farm, including Dark Chocolate, Chocolate, Peanut Butter, and Cookies & Cream.

And around Christmas, we make our Ho Ho Fudge, which tastes like hot cocoa. ☕🎄

The secret isn't really a secret at all.

We simply change the chocolate—or flavored chips—we're using while keeping the basic recipe the same.

Which got us thinking...

Why should Christmas have all the fun?

Halloween is coming, so Chief Goat and Mama decided it was time to give our goat milk fudge a spooky makeover. 🎃👻

Well...

Chief Goat decided.

Mama heard the word fudge and agreed to participate.

🐐 MLB Farm's Goat Milk Fudge

Ingredients

6 ounces chocolate or flavored chips
¼ cup butter
¼ cup goat milk
2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For traditional Dark Chocolate Fudge, we use dark chocolate. When we're making another flavor, we simply swap the dark chocolate for the chocolate or flavored chips we want to use.

Directions

1. Line and lightly grease a loaf pan.

2. Add the chocolate, butter, and goat milk to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for approximately 2 minutes, or until everything is melted, then stir to combine.

3. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Beat with a hand or stand mixer until smooth.

4. Transfer the mixture to your prepared pan, cover, and refrigerate for 1–2 hours or until firm.

Once firm, use a greased knife to cut the fudge into squares.

Easy enough, right?

🐐 Mama: “You forgot the step where you taste it.”

👨🍳 Chief Goat: “That's not a step.”

🐐 Mama: “It is now.”

😂

👻 Now Let's Make It SPOOKY!

Here's where things get fun.

You don't need five completely different fudge recipes to make a Halloween fudge platter. Start with the same basic recipe and change the flavors, colors, mix-ins, and toppings.

Here are five spooky-sweet ideas from the MLB Farm kitchen.

🧙♀️ Witch's Brew Fudge

Start with white chocolate chips so you have a light-colored base that's easy to tint.

Divide your prepared fudge mixture and add Halloween food coloring to create purple and green portions. Swirl the colors together gently before the fudge sets.

Don't completely mix them—you want those spooky swirls!

Top it with Halloween sprinkles and a few candy eyeballs.

The result?

Something that looks like it came bubbling straight out of a witch's cauldron. 🧙♀️🫧

Chief Goat's Tip: A toothpick or butter knife works great for creating swirls.

Mama's Tip: Candy eyeballs are technically candy.

We checked.

She wasn't asking. 😂

🧟 Monster Mash Fudge

Another white-chocolate creation!

Tint the fudge a wonderfully obnoxious monster green. 💚

Before it sets, add:

Crushed Oreos, candy eyeballs, purple Halloween sprinkles, or whatever other monster-worthy decorations you have hiding in the pantry.

The messier this one looks, the better.

Monsters aren't exactly known for presentation.

Neither is Mama.

🐐 “RUDE.”

🍪 Cookies & SCREAM Fudge

Now THIS one is right up our alley.

We already make Cookies & Cream Goat Milk Fudge at MLB Farm, so for Halloween we're simply giving one of our regular flavors a costume. 👻

Make your Cookies & Cream fudge as usual using white chocolate and crushed Oreos.

Then give it the Halloween treatment with candy eyeballs, extra Oreo crumbs, Halloween sprinkles, or even little candy ghosts.

Suddenly...

Cookies & Cream becomes COOKIES & SCREAM!

And yes, we are entirely too pleased with ourselves for that name. 😂

🎃 Pumpkin Patch Fudge

No pumpkin required!

This one is all about creating the look of a tiny pumpkin patch.

Start with white chocolate fudge and tint it Halloween orange.

Then sprinkle crushed Oreos over the top to create your edible "dirt."

Add little candy pumpkins and a few green sprinkles or decorations for vines.

Now you've got an entire miniature pumpkin patch sitting on top of your fudge.

Which is adorable...

right up until the Snack Bandit discovers it.

🐐 “What pumpkin patch?”

Exactly.

🕷️ Spiderweb Chocolate Fudge

For our chocolate lovers, we're going back to the dark side. 😈🍫

Make a batch using chocolate or dark chocolate.

Before it completely sets, drizzle melted white chocolate over the top in circles. Then drag a toothpick gently from the center toward the edges to create a spiderweb effect.

Add a little candy spider if you'd like.

It's spooky.

It's chocolate.

And it looks WAY more complicated than it actually is.

That's our kind of Halloween recipe. 😂

🎃 The MLB Farm Halloween Rule

Here's our favorite part.

You don't have to run out and buy every decoration we've mentioned.

Look in the pantry.

Check the Halloween candy.

See what's left from another baking project.

Candy eyes?

Use it if you got it!

Oreos?

Use it if you got it!

Sprinkles?

USE IT IF YOU GOT IT! 😂

Candy corn, mini marshmallows, crushed cookies, chocolate pieces...

Halloween fudge is supposed to be fun.

There is no Fudge Decoration Police.

Although Shadow Lady would probably apply for the position. 🕵️♀️🐐

🐐 A Note from the Snack Bandit

Mama would like everyone to know that she has taken her responsibilities as Assistant Fudge Inspector very seriously.

She has inspected the chocolate.

She has inspected the toppings.

She has inspected the mixing bowl.

She has attempted to inspect Chief Goat's pockets.

Twice.

Her official findings:

More research is necessary.

Preferably involving another batch of fudge. 😂

❤️ From Our Farm Kitchen to Yours

Some of our favorite recipes aren't complicated.

They're the ones that give us a basic starting point and then let us have a little fun.

That's exactly what we love about this goat milk fudge.

One simple recipe can become Dark Chocolate, Chocolate, Peanut Butter, Cookies & Cream, Ho Ho Fudge—or an entire tray of spooky Halloween treats. 🎃

Change the flavor.

Change the colors.

Throw on some toppings.

Make a mess.

And most importantly...

Have fun with it.

Because around MLB Farm, even the fudge gets a personality. 😂🐐🍫

Happy Halloween from MLB Farm & The GOAT by MLB!

And remember...

🐐 USE IT IF YOU GOT IT! 🎃❤️

P.S. Chief Goat has officially banned Mama from unsupervised access to the topping cabinet.

Mama has declined to comment. 😂
