Welcome to the Herd! 🐐

If you've been following MLB Farm or have visited The GOAT by MLB, you probably already know one thing about us: we do a little bit of everything!

And that's exactly how we like it.

What started with our farm has grown into something we never could have completely imagined when we began this journey. Today, The GOAT by MLB—Gifts of All Types—is a place where farm life, creativity, technology, handmade products, and a whole lot of fun come together.

Now we're adding something new to the mix:

Our very own blog!

From Our Farm to Your Family

We're a veteran-owned, family-operated small business, and behind everything you see at The GOAT is a story.

Some stories begin on the farm.

Some begin with an idea at the computer.

Some begin with a roll of filament going into a 3D printer.

Others start with a customer walking through the door and saying, “I have an idea. Can you make this?”

And sometimes they begin in the kitchen with a jug of goat milk!

That's what we want this blog to be about.

We want to take you beyond the finished product and let you see a little more of the world behind MLB Farm and The GOAT by MLB.

We're kicking things off with three weekly blog series, and each one will show you a different side of what we love.

Goat milk isn't just for soap and lotion!

On Tuesdays, we're heading into the kitchen to explore all the delicious ways goat milk can be used in foods and sweets.

We'll talk about baking, cooking, substitutions, recipes, desserts, seasonal treats, and—of course—goat milk fudge.

If you've ever wondered what goat milk does to a recipe or whether you can substitute it for cow's milk, Tuesdays are for you.

And fair warning: some of these posts may make you hungry.

🏡 Thursdays: From Our Farm to Your Family

Thursdays are going to be a little more personal.

We'll take you behind the scenes of MLB Farm and The GOAT by MLB and share some of the stories that don't always fit on a product tag or social media post.

We'll talk about farm life, running a family business, creating custom products, 3D printing, DTF printing, handmade products, local makers, seasonal craziness, and some of the lessons we've learned along the way.

You'll get to see not just what we make, but some of the work, creativity, mistakes, problem-solving, and occasional chaos that happen before you see the finished product.

Because small business life is rarely boring!

Every Friday, we're bringing you:

Goats are funny, intelligent, curious, stubborn, athletic, social, and sometimes downright ridiculous.

They're also incredibly interesting animals.

Each Friday, we'll explore a different goat fact and go beyond the quick “Did you know?” We'll explain why goats do some of the strange things they do and take a closer look at what makes them such fascinating animals.

Why do goats stand on everything?

Do goats really eat anything?

Why are their eyes shaped like that?

Can goats recognize people?

Do goats have best friends?

And just how smart are they?

We've got 52 weeks of goat questions and facts lined up, so there is plenty of goat goodness coming your way.

No kidding. 😉

More Than Just a Store

One of the things we love most about The GOAT is that it doesn't fit neatly into one little box.

We're farmers.

We're makers.

We're veterans.

We're a family.

We're small-business owners.

We make goat milk products and fudge. We create custom shirts and DTF prints. We turn spools of filament into 3D-printed creations. We make personalized gifts, carry locally made products, experiment with new ideas, and occasionally look at something completely unexpected and think:

“You know what? We could probably make that.”

That's part of the fun.
